Hello … and Welcome to Studio 1 Salon!

I love this business! I started my salon career back in 1972, immediately after I graduated from High School. I went to Beauty School in Jefferson City, and was fortunate to find a job at a salon, before graduation. I was employed there for a short time before moving on to being a stylist/salon manager at another salon.

Working behind the chair as a stylist/salon manager was a great experience. The owner of the Salon, my mentor, taught me a lot about how to run a business, she also ignited my inner passion to educate and take care of others.

In March of 1981, with the support of my mother-in-law, father-in-law, husband, and mentor, I decided to take the leap and open my own salon, I called it, “Studio 1 Family Hair Care Center”.

Over the past 30+ years, Studio 1 has gone through several changes and grown tremendously. We’ve been recognized locally and nationally and won our fair share of awards. We’ve changed our name two or three times, hired and retired several team members, and even moved the salon to a new location.

When you visit Studio 1, you’ll see the passion and the attitude; if you will, consistent and within everyone who is a part of the company. All the team members of Studio 1 are hardworking, talented and committed to their craft. Everyone involved has a genuine respect for each other, the beauty industry, and is committed to continued education.

We love what we do and truly enjoy taking care of the people around us! As a client leaves our salon, we feel so grateful and happy knowing that they feel really good about themselves. It makes our day when we hear someone say, “WOW, I love my hair, Thank YOU!”
